Bijou Commercial · Texas Hill Country
Wineries. Venues.
Destinations.
Commercial construction for the Hill Country's wine trail, wedding corridors, and hospitality boom. Tasting rooms, event venues, restaurants, and production facilities built by the team behind Bijou Builds.
What We Build
Built for the Hill Country economy.
Wineries & Tasting Rooms
Production spaces, barrel rooms, and tasting rooms built for the 290 Wine Trail and beyond. Our Custom Spaces division builds conditioned wine cellars year round, so climate control, racking, and guest flow are designed in-house.
Wedding & Event Venues
Dripping Springs is the wedding capital of Texas. We build hill-view ceremony structures, reception halls, bridal suites, and the back-of-house that keeps a 200-guest Saturday running.
Restaurants & Hospitality
Full restaurant buildouts from shell to service: commercial kitchens, bars, patios, and dining rooms designed around throughput and atmosphere in equal measure.
Breweries & Distilleries
Production floors with the slab work, drainage, and utility capacity brewing demands, paired with taprooms guests actually want to stay in.
Farm Retail & Markets
Farm stands, market halls, and agritourism retail that turn a working property into a destination without losing its character.
Boutique Lodging
Casitas, cabins, and small-key lodging for venues and vineyards adding overnight stays to the guest experience.
Why Bijou Commercial
Wine country craft, in-house.
Bijou Commercial is led by Mac Shugart and built for operators who move fast and expect more. And this corridor is personal for us. Our Custom Spaces division builds conditioned wine cellars and tasting spaces year round, so climate control, barrel storage, racking systems, and guest service flow are things we design in-house rather than hand off.
Rural commercial construction rewards a builder who understands county permitting, septic and well infrastructure, fire access, and parking on raw land. We carry projects from raw acreage to ribbon cutting with weekly progress reports and full price transparency.

Questions
Hill Country commercial, answered.
Does Bijou Commercial build wineries and tasting rooms in the Texas Hill Country?
Yes. Bijou Commercial, led by Mac Shugart, builds wineries, tasting rooms, wedding venues, restaurants, and hospitality projects across the Hill Country corridor including Dripping Springs, Driftwood, Wimberley, Spicewood, Johnson City, and Fredericksburg. Our Custom Spaces division builds conditioned wine cellars and wine rooms year round, so wine service infrastructure is a core competency rather than a subcontracted afterthought.
What does a Hill Country tasting room or venue buildout cost?
Interior tasting room buildouts typically start around $250 per square foot and run past $500 per square foot at high finish levels. Ground-up venues and wineries vary widely with site work, utilities, and production requirements, so we quote after a free scoping call. We estimate high on purpose so the final number comes in under, not over.
Do you handle permitting and site work for rural commercial projects?
Yes. Rural commercial building means county permitting, septic and well systems, fire access, ADA compliance, and parking built on raw land. We manage all of it as the general contractor. Licensing such as TABC permits stays with the owner, and we build to those requirements from day one.
How long does a winery or venue buildout take?
An interior tasting room or restaurant buildout typically runs 4 to 8 months. Ground-up venues, wineries, and production facilities typically run 10 to 18 months depending on site work and utility infrastructure. We publish progress to clients weekly so there are no surprises.
